Light ‘Em Up!

If a light switch fails to function, it should be replaced.  Most modern switches have screw terminals on each side and may also have holes in the back in order to accept the end of the wire. Even though plug-in connections may be more convenient, they are less reliable than those with screw terminals, so we advise you not to use them.

Here are some of the descriptions of the wires –

1.  The white wire connects to the silver screw.
2.  The black wire (the hot one) goes to the brass screw.
3.  The green or bare wire attaches to the green screw.

You can probably roll up your sleeves and tackle the project yourself, but you could light up like AT&T Stadium!  The logical alternative is to call the home wiring experts at Home Pro Services.  They have solved the Dallas area’s electrical needs for many years.  Call them immediately if a light in your home goes out due to faulty wiring at (214) 886-3326.
