Why is There a Gap When I Close that Door?

That’s about the last thing you want to exclaim when a new door is hung in your Dallas area home or office.  Door hanging is a bit of an art.  Sure, it looks simple when the job is done properly, but a crooked-looking door is not only an eye-sore, but also creates a bit of an inconvenience if not a hazard when going from room to room.

Here are some of the steps to properly hang a door –

1.  Know where to place the door shims.
2.  Make sure that the door clears the rug when it opens.
3.  Set interior jambs on spacers.
4.  Pull back the weather strip so that you may hide the screws.

Oh yes, that is only the beginning!  No job is too large or too small for the trained handymen at Home Pro Contracting located in Dallas and serving the construction needs of the entire Metroplex.  If you visit on the web you might be amazed at their myriad of services.  Why not give Home Pro Contracting a call at (214) 886-3326.
